Jawan (2023)

Pushpa 2 – The Rule (2024) 

Pushpa 2 is the highest worldwide-grossing movie as of 2025 that earned over ₹1,414 crore worldwide within twelve days of its release.  However, on its first day, it made rupees 72 crore. The movie is now available on Netflix. 

Pushpa 2: The Rule is a sequel that continues the story of Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun), who has ascended to a powerful position in the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The sequel builds on the storyline of the previous movie and showcases the challenges Pushpa faces to maintain his power and also showcases his family dynamics. Animal (2023)

Animal made 63.8 crore rupees on its first day. While the movie Animal did well at the box office, it received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

Animal is a movie about the father-son bond. The role of Ranvijay “Vijay” Singh is played by Ranbir Kapoor. Vijay Singh is the son of Balbir Singh, who is a powerful Industrialist. The role of Balbir Singh is play by Anil Kapoor. The difficult relationship between father and son led Vijay to become a violent individual. After an attempt was made on Vijay’s father, Vijay goes out to seek revenge. He confronts major adversaries such as crime lord Dharamraj. The role of crime lord Dharamraj is played by Bobby Deol. The film focuses on themes such as difficult family dynamics and revenge The film delves into themes of family dynamics, revenge, and the psychological transformation of Vijay as he grapples with his own flaws and challenges.

Animal was the highest-grossing film of 2023. The movie earned somewhere between ₹905 crore and ₹917.82 crore worldwide.

As far as the critics and the audience are concerned, the film received mixed reviews from both. The critics appreciated the technical aspects of the movie, the action sequences as well as Ranbir Kapoor’s performance. However, the theme and graphic violence is a difficult subject for many. Pathan (2023)

Since this movie is a part of YRF Spy Universe, Tiger played by Salman Khan made a cameo. This helped connect the film Pathaan to the larger spy franchise.  Future installments of this franchise are expected soon. Future installments such as Tiger 3 and War 2. 

Stree 2 (2024)

Stree 2 made 55.4 crore rupees on its first day. Stree 2 achieved significant commercial success that earned over ₹874.8 crore worldwide against a production budget of ₹50–120 crore. The movie was well received by critics as well as audiences for its story as well as its mix of horror and comedy themes.

The pre-credit scene sets the tone for the entire movie Following the events of the first film, “Stree 2” returns to the town of Chanderi, now facing a new supernatural threat: Sarkata, a headless ghost abducting women at night. The townspeople, initially unaware of the menace, believe the missing women have left for better opportunities. Rudra receives an anonymous letter containing missing pages from the Chanderi Puran with the message “Vo Aayega” (He will come). He warns Vicky, but Vicky dismisses his concerns.

As the disappearances continue, the group learns that Sarkata is the vengeful spirit of Chandrabhan, a former village head who despised progressive women and murdered Stree when she was a courtesan. Now, after Stree’s departure from Chanderi, Sarkata has returned to target progressive women. Realizing they need Stree’s help, the group seeks out Jana in Delhi, who was once possessed by Stree. Jana, now living with his werewolf cousin Bhaskar (as depicted in “Bhediya” (2022), is lured back to Chanderi under the pretense of a stage play.

The group confronts Sarkata, leading to intense encounters. “She” briefly merges with Vicky to create a being capable of defeating Sarkata. Together, they enter Sarkata’s lair and, with Stree’s help, ultimately destroy him, freeing the abducted women and restoring peace to Chanderi. Before leaving, “She” tells Vicky her name and promises they will meet again.

K.G.F – Chapter 2 (2022)

This movie made 53.95 crore rupees on its first day. K.G.F Chapter 2 has the following key themes that the movie has focused on –

Thugs Of Hindostan (2018)

This movie made 52.25 crore rupees on its first day. The movie takes inspiration from India’s freedom struggle against British rule. The movie is set in 1795. The story starts with British East India Company officer John Clive (Lloyd Owen) taking control of a kingdom by assassinating its ruler, Mirza Sikander Baig, and forcing his young daughter, Zafira (Fatima Sana Shaikh), into hiding. She is protected by the fearless rebel leader Khudabaksh Azaad (Amitabh Bachchan), who dreams of freeing India from British rule.

To counter Azaad and his band of thugs (rebels), Clive hires Firangi Mallah (Aamir Khan), a deceptive, opportunistic conman who pledges loyalty to no one but himself.

Happy New Year (2014) 

Happy New Year is a comedy movie that blends action, humor, dance, and revenge in a grand manner. The movie made 44.97 crore rupees on its first day. The film has the following key themes –

The movie in total grossed approximately ₹900 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023.

Singham Again 2024

Singham Again is the third installment in the Singham series, directed by Rohit Shetty and released on November 1, 2024. The movie made 43.7 crore rupees on its first day. The film continues the saga of Bajirao Singham, portrayed by Ajay Devgn.

Bharat 2019

Bharat is a Bollywood drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, and Tabu. The film made 42.3 crore rupees on its first day. The film is an emotional journey through India’s post-independence history, seen through the eyes of one man.
