At the metro station, Notti got into an argument with another rapper, Kelvin Martinez. Kelvin was 15 years old at the time of the incident. Notti was fatally stabbed in the abdomen area during the fight.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead shortly after arrival. Initially, Kelvin was initially charged with first-degree murder, but later, the charge was reduced to second-degree manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon after authorities determined that Notti had provoked the fight.
Video evidence showed that Notti and his friends had started the fight. They had chased Kelvin with a broom and they caught up with him and beat him up with a broomstick. Kelvin stabbed Notti in self-defense. Pinkvilla reported that authorities dropped all charges on Kelvin. According to a YouTube news video published by @abc7NY, some have called the attack on Notti Osama an unprovoked attack.
